IndiaRealTime brings together live weather, air quality (AQI), mandi commodity prices, gold & silver rates, fuel & gas prices, currency rates, Panchang, cricket scores and more for cities across India, in one fast-loading site.
Yes. Every page and service on IndiaRealTime is free, with no login or sign-up required.
No account is needed to view any data. "My locations" on the homepage saves your chosen cities in your own browser (local storage), not on an account.
Use the search box on the homepage to type your city, district or a commodity name, or tap "📍 My city" to auto-detect your location. You can also browse by state from the homepage's "Browse India" section.
It asks your browser for permission to access your device's approximate location, then shows you the nearest matching city's data. It only runs when you tap it, and nothing is stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Tap the star (☆) next to any city on the homepage's "My locations" list, or search for a city and add it from there. Saved cities are kept in your browser only, so they won't follow you to a different device or browser.
Weather data refreshes every 15 minutes, sourced from WeatherAPI.com.
Air Quality Index data refreshes every 6 hours, sourced from Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) monitoring stations via data.gov.in.
IndiaRealTime uses CPCB's official 6-band scale (Good, Satisfactory, Moderate, Poor, Very Poor and Severe), each shown with its number range and, for the higher bands, a health recommendation. Every city and state page explains the current band in plain language.
Weather Alerts surfaces active IMD warnings (heavy rain, heatwave, etc.) by region; Earthquake Alerts shows recent seismic events in and around India. Both appear as homepage badges only when there's something active to report.
Gold, silver, platinum and palladium rates are updated once daily at 7 AM IST from licensed market data.
24K is 999-fine (99.9% pure) gold; 22K (916, the BIS-hallmark standard for most Indian jewellery) is 91.6% pure; 18K is 75% pure. The gold price page shows the rate for all three.
That matches how silver and gold are actually quoted and traded in India: silver by the kilogram, gold (and platinum/palladium) per 10 grams. Per-gram rates are also shown for reference.
Petrol and diesel prices on the fuel price page are updated once daily for every state and major city.
From official daily fuel-pricing data, covering every state and union territory.
INR exchange rates on the currency page are updated once daily, sourced from the Frankfurter exchange-rate API.
Mandi prices on the commodity prices page are updated daily from Government of India open data portals (data.gov.in).
A city can have several mandis (e.g. "Pune(Pimpri) APMC" vs "Pune(Moshi) APMC") that report different prices for the same commodity on the same day. That's a real feature of India's mandi system, not a data error. We pin trend comparisons to one specific market so they're never mixing two different markets' prices.
Panchang is the daily Hindu almanac: Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, sunrise/sunset and auspicious/inauspicious timings. Our Panchang page updates it daily, sourced from FreeAstrologyAPI.com.
Rashifal is a daily astrological reading by zodiac sign (rashi). Find yours on the Rashifal page.
Muhurat lists auspicious time windows for the day (Abhijit Muhurat, Amrit Kaal, and inauspicious periods like Rahu Kalam); the Vrat Calendar lists upcoming Hindu fasting/observance days. Both update daily.
Cricket scores on the cricket page are checked hourly, more frequently around live matches.
The Bank Holidays page shows whether banks are open today in each state, including regional and festival holidays. The Toll Rates page lists toll-plaza rates across India's highway network.
We republish data from official government sources (IMD, CPCB, data.gov.in) and licensed market APIs as-is, on the refresh schedule stated on each page. Underlying sources can themselves be delayed or revised, so for high-stakes agricultural, health, travel or financial decisions, always verify against the original official source. See our Terms & Conditions.
