About IndiaRealTime and Our Live India Data Sources
What IndiaRealTime is, where its data comes from, and who runs it.
What Is IndiaRealTime?
IndiaRealTime (indiarealtime.com) is an independently run website that brings together live, publicly available data about India, weather, air quality, mandi commodity prices, gold and other metal rates, fuel and gas prices, currency rates, the Hindu Panchang calendar, Muhurat timings and Rashifal readings, cricket scores, stock market data, mutual fund NAVs, bank holidays, toll rates and more, sourced from official government departments and licensed data providers, and republishes it in one fast, mobile-first site organized by city and state. It launched in 2026, needs no account or login to use, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Government of India or any government body.

Our Story
IndiaRealTime started from a simple frustration: India's public data is genuinely excellent, but it's scattered across a dozen-plus separate government and market portals, each built for its own purpose rather than for someone who just wants today's AQI, weather, or fuel price for their own city in a few seconds. Rather than accept that as normal, we built one fast, uncluttered site that pulls the same official data into a single place, organized by city and state, and launched it in 2026.
The work happens from a small office in Jakkasandra Extension, Koramangala, Bengaluru, see Meet the Team for who's behind it and Who Built This for the founder's own story.
Who We Are
IndiaRealTime is independently and privately run, not a subsidiary, division, or franchise of any other company, media group, or government body, see Independence below. It's built and maintained by a small team based in Bengaluru: a founder/developer who built the site and its data pipelines, plus writers each covering their own beat. Every article is bylined to the person who wrote it, with a real photo and author page, nothing here is published anonymously or under a house pseudonym.
What We Do
We pull live, public data, weather, air quality, mandi and commodity prices, gold and other metal rates, fuel and gas prices, currency rates, Panchang, Muhurat, Rashifal, cricket scores, stock market data, mutual fund NAVs, FD rates, toll rates, bank holidays and PIN code lookup, from official government departments and licensed data providers, and republish it as-is, on a stated refresh schedule, in one fast, mobile-first site. We don't edit, estimate, or adjust the underlying figures ourselves, see our Data Methodology page for exactly where every number comes from and how often it updates.
Why You Can Trust This Data
Every figure on IndiaRealTime traces back to a named official or licensed source, CPCB and data.gov.in for air quality and mandi prices, the IMD-sourced WeatherAPI.com for weather, RBI-linked rates for currency, NHAI for toll rates, AMFI for mutual fund NAVs, see the full list on Data Methodology. We don't alter those figures ourselves (see Editorial & Data Policy), the Site covers 500+ Indian cities, and IndiaRealTime is independently documented on Wikidata as its own entity, not just a self-description on our own pages.

The Problem and How We Solve It
The Problem
Today's AQI lives on the CPCB's own site. Mandi prices sit on a separate data.gov.in portal. Bank holidays come from RBI's own PDF, the "Holiday Matrix." Toll rates are on NHAI's site, mutual fund NAVs on AMFI's, gold and stock prices need yet another source again, and Panchang, Muhurat or a Rashifal reading means a different kind of site entirely. Each one was built for its own purpose by its own department, not for someone who just wants today's number for their own city in a few seconds, on a mid-range phone, on the connection most of India actually has.
Our Solution
IndiaRealTime pulls that same official data, weather, air quality, mandi and commodity prices, gold/silver/platinum/palladium, fuel and gas prices, currency rates, Panchang, Muhurat, Rashifal, cricket scores, stock market data, mutual fund NAVs, FD rates, toll rates, bank holidays and PIN code lookup, into one fast, uncluttered site. One visit instead of a dozen-plus bookmarks, organized by city and state, refreshed on each source's own realistic schedule, with every number linking back to where it actually came from.
Meet the Team
IndiaRealTime's articles are written by a small team, each covering their own beat: markets and prices, weather and environment, civic and public data, and culture and sports. Every article is bylined to the writer who covers that beat, with a short bio and their published articles on their own author page. The live data itself, AQI, prices, weather and the rest, isn't written by anyone on this team; it comes from an automated pipeline sourced from official and licensed data providers, detailed on our Data Methodology page.
Our India Office
Every figure on this site starts in one place: a small office in Jakkasandra Extension, Koramangala, in the heart of Bengaluru. There's no newsroom wall of screens and no breaking-news sirens, just a handful of writers and developers with coffee within reach, making sure the AQI reading, the mandi price, or the fuel rate for your city is already updated by the time you go looking for it.
Who Built This
Padmaraj built and maintains IndiaRealTime โ the site itself and the WordPress plugins behind it that fetch, verify and republish each dataset described on the Data Methodology page.
Independence
IndiaRealTime is independently run and privately operated. It has no parent company: it isn't owned by, a subsidiary of, or under common ownership with any other business, media group, or government body. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Government of India, the IMD, the CPCB, or any other government body; we just republish their public data in a more accessible form. Treat the figures here as general information, and when accuracy really matters, for agriculture, health, travel, or money decisions, check the original official source.
Data Sources and Featured Sites
IndiaRealTime republishes data from, and is grateful to, these official and licensed sources, see Data Methodology for the full dataset-by-dataset list:

- Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) - air quality

- Reserve Bank of India (RBI) - bank holidays and currency-related data
- National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) - toll rates
- Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) - mutual fund NAVs

How We're Funded
Keeping IndiaRealTime running (servers, data, development) isn't free. To keep the Site itself free for everyone, we may show advertising, such as Google AdSense, and include the odd affiliate link. That's fully disclosed in our Privacy Policy, and it never affects the factual data we publish.
Editorial & Data Policy
IndiaRealTime republishes data from official and licensed sources as-is, on the refresh schedule stated for each dataset (see Data Methodology); we don't edit, estimate, or adjust the underlying figures ourselves. Written content, articles, explainers, FAQ answers, is produced separately by our own small editorial team, each writer bylined to the beat they cover, and never changes what number is shown on a data page. Advertising and any affiliate links are disclosed in full in our Privacy Policy and never influence which figures we publish or how we describe them. Every figure on the Site is informational, not a substitute for the original official source when accuracy genuinely matters, see our Terms and Conditions for the full accuracy disclaimer.
Corrections Process
Spotted a number that looks wrong? Email contact@indiarealtime.com with the exact page URL and the city or dataset affected. We check it against the original source: if it's a genuine error on our side, a stale fetch, a display bug, a wrong unit, we correct it. If the figure simply matches what the official source itself currently shows, even if it looks surprising, we'll explain that rather than change a correctly-republished number.
