Cricket World Cup 2027 Schedule, Full List of All 57 Matches

The 2027 Cricket World Cup runs from 2 October to 21 November 2027 in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, with 57 matches across 12 venues. The ICC announced the full fixture list on 1 October 2026. India open against Australia at Newlands in Cape Town on 7 October and play Pakistan at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on 10 October. The final is at the Wanderers on 21 November. Below is every match, India’s full path, and how the new format works, because it is not the round robin of 2019 and 2023.
How the 2027 format works
Fourteen teams take part, up from 10 in 2019 and 2023, but they do not all start together. South Africa and Zimbabwe qualify as hosts, and the top eight on the ICC ODI rankings at the 30 September 2026 cut-off qualify directly: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The last four places go to the Cricket World Cup Qualifier in February and March 2027. West Indies, ranked 10th, could not reach the top eight and must go through that Qualifier for the third World Cup cycle in a row.
- Super Series, 2 to 6 October (3 matches): the winner of the Qualifier goes straight into the group stage. The other three qualifiers play a round robin in Windhoek, and only the winner joins the main event.
- Group stage, 7 to 24 October (30 matches): two groups of six. The top three in each group go through, plus the better of the two fourth-placed teams.
- Super 7, 25 October to 14 November (21 matches): a single round robin among the seven survivors. Points do not carry over from the group stage, so every team starts from zero.
- Knockouts: 1st plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd in the semi-finals on 17 and 18 November, and the final is on 21 November. All three have reserve days.
The groups are Group A: India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Qualifier A; and Group B: New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh and Qualifier B.

Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban each host six matches, with Newlands taking the first semi-final and the Wanderers the final. KuGompo City is the new name of East London. The schedule also contains one discrepancy worth knowing about: the ICC’s media release put South Africa’s opener against New Zealand in Centurion on 8 October, but the ICC’s own fixture list and every other schedule we checked have it at Newlands, Cape Town, on 9 October. We have used the fixture list.
